Streets of Rage, le remake par Ruffian Games

Bon sang, voilà le genre de projet qui fait sauter ma braguette !
Le pire c'est que cette "ébauche" a méchamment de la gueule...

Canned Streets of Rage Remake Footage Leaks From Crackdown 2 Dev

It just seems destined never to happen... We're talking of course about the prospect of another Streets of Rage game, which has been dashed on multiple occasions. There was Core Design's 1997 3D beat 'em up, Fighting Force, which was originally positioned as Streets of Rage 4 (arguably, a dodged bullet for the series there), then there was Bionic Commando developer GRIN's proposed remake.

And today we've learned that Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian Games also had its own Streets of Rage remake project in the pipeline, as shown in the leaked footage below. Ruffian's Sean Noonan confirmed his involvement with the game, according to Spong, posting on Twitter: "So it seems like one of my previous projects has leaked, as pretty as I remember."

It could be that SEGA's financial woes and restructuring put the nails in the coffin for Ruffian's Streets of Rage re-imagining, that while looking rather interesting, does bring back memories of Fighting Force and a host of other poorly executed 3D beat 'em ups.

As devout Streets of Rage fans, we'd rather see a beefed up and attractive 2D remake or full sequel, with that same great Streets of Rage gameplay intact. Oh, and get Yuzo Koshiro back on the soundtrack too. What do you lot reckon? Make it happen SEGA !

ca a l'air plutot pas mal mais on s'eloigne quand meme beaucoup du jeu original... avec un autre nom j'aurais difficilement fait le rapprochement

C'est parce que graphiquement c'est trop de boulot, sinon j'aimais pu me laisser tenter par un remake 2D....

J'aurais préféré un remake "en 2D" avec des graphismes 3D à la limite. Un peu comme le Double Dragon Neon (qui est très sympa malgré lest tests pisse-froid - un bel hommage).

Là je sais pas, ça me parait hyper fade.

Drfloyd : passé la rigidité, à deux je le trouve vraiment sympa une fois qu'on a bien pris le gameplay en main.
